The main menu of the program is show in drawing below:
The Dialog has two areas:
- Tool Parameters - to assign tool parameters,
and
- Operation Parameters - to assign operation parameters.
Tool creation Method: |
This optional menu allows you select a method of create of the milling tool. Following options are accessible: Automatic - allows you to search of the tool in a database on the given parameters "Max % of trochoida width" and "Min % of trochoida width". In this case input fields of tool parameters (Diameter, Length, Flute length are not display in the menu). Program search all tools in the database which diameter less them "Max % of trochoida width" and more them "Min % of trochoida width". Manual - allow you create new tool with parameters which are set in this section of the menu below. |
Max % of trochoida width |
This parameter using to search tool in database, and assign Max diameter of the tool. This field active only if Tool creation Method set to Automatic. |
Min % of trochoida width |
This parameter using to search tool in database, and assign Min diameter of the tool. This field active only if "Tool creation Method" set to Automatic. |
Diameter |
This field allows you to input tool Diameter for create new tool. This field active only if "Tool creation Method" set to Manual. |
Length |
This field allows you to input tool Length for create new tool. This field active only if "Tool creation Method" set to Manual. |
Flute Length |
This field allows you to input tool Flute Length for create new tool. This field active only if "Tool creation Method" set to Manual. |
Number |
This field allows you to input tool number. |
Adjust Register |
This field allows you to input Adjust Register. |
Cutcom Register |
This field allows you to input Cutcom Register. |
Cut Type |
This optional menu allows you to select a type of the cutting slots. Following options are accessible: Trochoida - create trochoidal tool path for milling open slot as show on figure bellow: Linear - create linear tool path for milling open slot as show on figure bellow: |
Trochoida direction |
This optional menu allows you to select "Trochoida direction" - "Climb cut" or "Conventional cut" |
Min. Clearance |
This option allows you to assign "Min. Clearance" in operation. This value add on to clearance plane in Z direction. |
Depth per Cut |
This option allows you to assign "Depth per Cut" in operation. |
Part Stock |
This option allows you to assign Part Stock in operation if option "Operation types" set to "Rough and Finish" or "Rough Only" |
Trochoida Step |
This option allows you to input "Trochoida Step". See figure bellow: |
Trochoida Start Angle |
This option allows you to input "Trochoida Start Angle". See figures bellow: Trochoida Start Angle = 0 degree Trochoida Start Angle = 90 degree Trochoida Start Angle = 180 degree This parameter determines a direction of engage if the option "Cut Type" set to Trochoida. |
Operation types |
This optional menu allows you to select types created operation. "Rough and Finish", "Rough Only" or "Finish only". |
After in main menu you put OK, program output to the screen menu "Face selection". This menu is standard selection memu of Unigraphics NX. See figure bellow:
After you select floor faces of the open slots, program output to the screen menu "Plane". In this step you must be assign plane of MCS (Machine Coordinate System) location. See figure bellow:
If option "Tool creation Method" set to "Automatic" program output to the screen menu "Tool list in database". In this menu you can preview parameters and select approaching tool which the program has find in a database. See figure bellow:
After you select approaching tool from menu, program automatic generate tool path for milling all selected slots.
